Trek up the scenic Yorkshire Three Peaks and help raise vital funds for Sue Ryder's expert, compassionate care in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge 2023.

Take on the challenge

Take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and support Sue Ryder's expert end-of-life care. The walk is a challenging 24.5 miles and 5000ft of ascent to be tackled by competent walkers aiming to complete the challenge within 12 hours.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, the walk ascends the three peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent. There will be qualified Mountain Leaders throughout the route to assist you with any help you may need.

What's included for walkers?

  • Cereal bars and fruit available at your arrival before beginning your trek
  • Refreshment stops on the route and at the finish to celebrate
  • On-route expert mountain guides from Yorkshire Dales Guides
  • A welcome pack, t-shirts and kit list
  • Support from your local hospice team with fundraising before the event and motivation on the day

What you need to know

Event day registration and safety briefing are between 5.45am and 8am.

The £30 registration fee (per person) covers the cost of this event and so we ask that each member of your team raises a minimum of £200 for either Sue Ryder Manorlands or Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice.

Your local hospice fundraising team will be on-hand to help you every step of the way. We can provide you with collection buckets, banners, bunting and more to help you with your fundraising.

The minimum age for the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is 14 years old. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

All funds raised from this event will help fill someone's last days with love and make sure that we can be there when it matters.
