It costs us £44m a year to keep our services running.
We receive £27.8m in statutory funding meaning we have to fundraise £16.2m a year to keep providing the expert and compassionate care we are well known for. We love our supporters who take part in a number of fundraising events including running, swimming, hiking, trekking, fasting, dressing up – to name just a few. We also work with several trusts, patrons and major donors often building long lasting relationships that help us to fund services.
A successful three year partnership with Morrisons and their employees enabled us to expand our healthcare services such as the development and launch of our Online Community, establishment of family support teams and community nursing teams too.
In June 2015, our first purpose built hospice opened at Thorpe Hall in Peterborough, following a three year capital appeal. Thanks to people’s collective fundraising efforts, we were able to raise £4.7m towards the cost of construction of the building which houses 20 en-suite private patient rooms, bright new communal areas, relaxing gardens and offices.
