Thanking Day

The Thanking Day will be a day dedicated to thanking Sue Ryder supporters who have donated to us in 2024.

On the day, our staff will telephone a number of our supporters to thank them and let them know how much their giving means to Sue Ryder and the families that we support.

If you donated your own money to Sue Ryder last year and you haven’t previously told us that you don’t wish us to contact you by telephone, you may be called on 16th January.

If you are called on 16th January, you will be thanked by a Sue Ryder staff member.

If you are called, it will be during business hours (9am – 5.30pm). You will not be contacted by one of our staff members as part of the Thanking Day after 5.30pm on 16th January, or after this date.

If a staff member calls you but doesn’t get through, they will make one further attempt to call you. If they aren’t able to get through to you on their second attempt, they will leave you a voicemail message (if they are able to do so).

If you don’t wish to be contacted as part of the Thanking Day, or you don’t want us to contact you at all by telephone, please call our Supporter Care team on 0808 164 4572 or email supportercare@sueryder.org to update your preferences.

Alternatively, if you do receive a call from us on the Thanking Day, you can let the staff member know that you don’t want to hear from Sue Ryder by telephone again in the future.

Sue Ryder will respect your wishes and stop calling you.
