Values in Practice Awards

Nominations are now open for our next Values in Practice Awards. The event is a chance to come together and celebrate the amazing things that volunteers and staff do every day, working towards our vision of a society that supports everyone through dying and grief.

The awards ceremony

The ceremony will take place on 26th February 2026 and is kindly being hosted by our corporate partners, Village Hotels, at their Coventry hotel.

There are eleven awards to be won at our Values in Practice Awards. These awards are split into four categories: three linked to our Sue Ryder values: Supportive, Connected and Impactful, and a set of overall awards too.

Submit your nominations

We are using a system called Award Force to make it as simple as possible to submit your nominations and celebrate your colleagues' amazing achievements.

Submit your nomination

Remember to submit your nominations before 5pm on Friday 19th September.

This year there is a new option to submit your nomination as a voice recording by accessing Award Force on your mobile phone. Find out more below on how to write the best possible entry to ensure that your nominees shine.

You can also access support for writing nominations by contacting your Volunteer Coordinator or line manager.

Our panel of independent judges from across the organisation will work together to shortlist colleagues in each award category. All shortlisted colleagues will be invited to the awards ceremony on Thursday 26th February 2026, where our winners will be announced.

Award nomination prompts

When submitting nominations, you may find it helpful to answer some key questions, to help the judges understand the impact your nominee has made.
