Grief Kind Spaces
Sue Ryder Grief Kind Spaces give people who are grieving access to informal, in-person, peer-to-peer support in their local area.
UPDATE: March 2026
As more people turn to us for bereavement support every year, we are seeking new ways to support even more people. This is why Sue Ryder Grief Kind Spaces are changing, so we can help more people access this type of support right across the UK.
Spaces will become independently run, led by local people, for local people, with Sue Ryder’s role becoming one of equipping communities with the tools and guidance to run their own spaces.
Sue Ryder supervised Grief Kind Spaces led by Sue Ryder volunteers will conclude by 1 May 2026, and a Sue Ryder Grief Kind Champion toolkit will become available to support the creation of new Grief Kind groups.
Grief Kind Spaces has shown just how powerful it is for people who are grieving to come together and speak with others who have also been bereaved in their own community.
