At Sue Ryder, we’ve given the group of supporters who take on our events the name ‘Team Sue Ryder’ because they do the legwork (literally!) to raise the vital funds to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can access the support they need.

Why should I join Team Sue Ryder?

All Team Sue Ryder members receive:

  • a special Sue Ryder running vest or cycling jersey.
  • fundraising tips and encouragement from our friendly events team.
  • a fabulous post-race celebration for you and your family at your event.
  • the knowledge that they have made a difference to the lives of people who receive our expert care and grief support.

How do I join Team Sue Ryder?

All you need to do to become a member is sign up for one of our challenge events.

We know that every member of our team is one of a kind, which is why we offer such a wide variety of challenges – from runs and overseas treks to cycle sportives or something completely different!

Say hello to your Team Sue Ryder Captains

Your Team Sue Ryder Captains are on hand to provide advice, training support and fundraising tips. We’ll be in touch regularly in the build-up to your chosen event to provide ideas and encouragement to get you training well, and then we look forward to seeing you on race day as we support you on the course and celebrate together at the finish.

With emails, phone calls, video and audio tools, not to mention the best kit around, being a part of Team Sue Ryder means you have a dedicated support team to help you make the most of your event experience.

As the self-appointed ‘Snack-fiend of Team Sue Ryder’, my job is to keep your energy levels high with lots of treats when you take part in events for us! It’s also to make sure your time with us is amazing from start to finish.

I love working with such an inspirational group of people and I’m happiest halfway up a mountain – Ben Nevis is next on my list.
