Airedale Centre Santa’s Grotto Terms and Conditions
Registration – A parent or guardian should book in each child wishing to visit the grotto using the online registration form and the parent or guardian must inform the participant that they have signed the terms and conditions on their behalf and that their participation in the event will be governed by these terms.
One ticket at a cost of £2.50 is required for each child that visits Santa and receives a gift. All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the duration of the visit to the grotto.
Refunds - The entry fee for the Airedale Shopping Centre Santa’s Grotto is non-transferable and non-refundable. If the event has to be cancelled due to reasons beyond our control such as unavailability of Santa, we will endeavour to reschedule the event to a later date for which entries will be valid.
Time Slot – The standard time slot is 5 minutes though the organisers retain the right to shorten this slightly where only one child is visiting and extend it a little when more than 2 children are visiting. On signing up participants will choose from a list of hourly slots. Within a few days the participants will be notified of which 5 minute time slot they have been allocated within that hour and they should aim to be at the grotto at least 5 minutes before the slot time.
Gifts from Santa - Each ticket holding child will be given a gift by Santa. These are none exchangeable and non refundable. Where these contain foodstuffs it is the parents or guardians who are responsible for reading the ingredients and allergens information and taking appropriate action.
Contact details - Participants are personally responsible for updating the organisers with any new address and telephone details. All participants must provide emergency contact details.
Liability -The Airedale Shopping Centre Santa's Grotto is operated by the Airedale Shopping Centre and Sue Ryder with support from Keighley BID and all participants take part at their own risk. Neither Sue Ryder nor its sponsors accept responsibility for any loss, injury or damage suffered by any participant personally or to their property as a result of taking part in the absence of negligence or breach of statutory duty on the part of the organisers or sponsors.
Risks - Sue Ryder has a comprehensive risk assessment process for each event which aims to minimise or eliminate the risk to everyone taking part. However, by taking part in this event, you acknowledge that there may be conditions or circumstances beyond our control that can lead to unforeseen risks.
Publicity and photographs
- Parents and guardians are welcome to take photos or record video footage of their children meeting Santa.
- The organisers may request to take photos of some children meeting Santa and if we do we will ask the parents/guardians to sign a disclaimer form before we use any of them. Sue Ryder and our co-organisers will endeavour not to use any photographs, images or likenesses of children aged 16 or under which identify them without express consent from a parent/guardian.
- Supporters are welcome to take pictures on the day but please ensure that, where the pictures capture images of children, only one's own family members are included.
Data Protection - Please be aware that by registering you authorise Sue Ryder to process your personal and sensitive data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 for the purposes of this event. Sue Ryder will endeavour not to use any photographs, images or likenesses of children aged 16 or under.
