A vintage emporium
Our specialist vintage shop is located in Peterborough city centre at the very end of Bridge Street. For those of you who enjoy feeding the ducks, we are right by the River Nene and embankment.
Our shop is only a five-minute walk from Peterborough Cathedral and Queensgate Shopping Centre and only a short distance from both the train station and bus services. We have parking to the rear of the shop too, which is convenient for dropping off donations as well as seeing what vintage curiosities we have in store.
First and only vintage shop in Peterborough
Established in 2008, Bridge Street's Sue Ryder Vintage and Retro was not only the first of its vintage kind for Sue Ryder, but it's also the first and only vintage shop in Peterborough. Our large vintage trove is spread across two floors, downstairs there's vintage clothing and accessories from throughout the last century for men, women and children.
We also have our own crafty make-do-mend haberdashery quarter, vast collection of delicate bric-a-brac and unique one-of-a-kind home furnishings that we're sure you'll want to turn into heirlooms of your own. Upstairs we have an extensive record department, vintage wedding dresses dating back to the 1920s and exhibit an array of antique and mid-century furniture.
We’re blazing a trail
We're pioneering to put Peterborough on the vintage map by organising our own vintage fairs and inviting vintage traders from all over the country to showcase their vintage necessities too. You can also find us trading at vintage fairs and festivals all over Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire
New life to wonderful pieces of history
Whether you're a Mod Quadrophenia, kitsch-aholic, crafty crafter, have a 1940s to get dolled up for, or just want a nostalgic trip down memory lane, we have something for everyone and so much more!
We have a team of skilled and creative vintage enthused staff and volunteers on hand whom go to great lengths to style, merchandise, create, repair, revamp and upcycle, to bring a new lease of life to these pieces of history that we love so.
We have a car park behind the shop which is ideal for donations; it is a sharp left off the roundabout and then turn left at the side of the shop.
