Step out of your comfort zone and take on a truly exhilarating experience whilst raising vital funds for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice's palliative and bereavement support.

Walk barefoot over embers burning at 1,236 degrees and raise vital funds for families needing expert and compassionate palliative care in Gloucestershire by taking part in Leckhampton Court Hospice's first ever fire walk fundraiser!

The Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Fundraising Group brings this event to you as part of their exciting calendar of local fundraising events, and a number of the group members and hospice volunteers will be putting their best foot forward and participating!

What is fire walking?

Fire walking is the most exhilarating, unique and memorable experience. Not only does it give you an adrenaline rush like no other, but partaking will leave you with a heightened level of self-belief that will stay with you long after the fire has burnt out.

Can anyone fire walk?

Yes! No preparation is required; simply attend a motivational training session on the night and you’ll discover the techniques required to walk across burning embers, unscathed and empowered!

Please note: The minimum age for participation is 14, and early booking is essential as places are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Spectators are encouraged

Ask your family and friends along to support and celebrate your achievements!

Why you should fundraise

Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice provides expert and compassionate palliative and bereavement care to families in Gloucestershire. Our services include the 16-bed in-patient unit - the only facility of its type in the county; a Day Hospice; our Hospice at Home team, which delivers expert care in the community; and our family and bereavement support.

Your registration fee coves the cost of running the event, so it’s the extra funds you raise that provide vital care. That’s why we’re asking each person participating to raise £140 in sponsorship, which could pay for a hospice nurse for one day. You will also receive a Sue Ryder t-shirt (various sizes available).

It’s an event like no other – please join us!
