Spotlight on our shops
Across the UK, the tills have been ringing at our 400 Sue Ryder shops, raising vital funds towards our care and support.

We are delighted to share that several new shops have opened their doors this year, including:
- Our new Bramley shop, which was visited by Chancellor of the Exchequer and MP for Leeds West and Pudsey, Rachel Reeves, in May (pictured).
- Our new Port Glasgow shop, which was officially opened by internationally acclaimed science fiction author Ken MacLeod in April.
- Coming soon – our new upcycling workshop in Hull, bringing new life to older items, as well as a new shop in St Helens.
Our shops sell an amazing array of donated and pre-loved items, from clothing, accessories, furniture, books and music, to toys and bric-a-brac. Each time you visit, you never know what treasures you might find! We offer a budget-friendly and sustainable way to shop, helping to reduce landfill.

Another firm favourite with customers is our collection of 100% recyclable charity Christmas cards. Every card purchased helps to support our expert care, and the 2025 cards will be available to buy in our shops from August and online from September.
We are really proud of how the shops are at the heart of local communities, offering volunteer placements and paid work and sharing important information about our services. Last year, more than 10,500 people volunteered with us, helping customers and sorting donations. As well as being rewarding, volunteering can open doors to new possibilities. 68 volunteers went on to paid roles at Sue Ryder, while 372 secured employment elsewhere.
Our shops also sell tickets for our Sue Ryder weekly Lottery, which raises vital funds.
