Introducing Jennifer Graham, known as Charity Shop Girl – a name she earned after regularly frequenting charity shops across the country, rummaging for hidden gems and picking up charming bric-a-brac and fashion finds in her now-infamous basket.

Jen has become a trusted voice on social media and television, helping to remove the stigma surrounding charity shops and encouraging people to discover their style while embracing second-hand shopping. She began her Charity Shop Girl journey in 2020. After having her youngest daughter, Joni, and spurred on by her 13-year-old daughter, Stella,, Jen started creating haul videos that combined her love of second-hand fashion, styling and charity shops – something she had been passionate about in private since the age of 17.

Although her Charity Shop Girl journey may seem effortless, Jen’s path hasn’t always been smooth. In 2013, she was running Joella’s Bakehouse, a cake shop and vintage tearoom in Sandbach that soared to number one on TripAdvisor within its first month. True to her style, it was decorated with charity shop finds, from hanging teacups to vintage bric-a-brac. Jen’s love for baking started after being diagnosed with skin cancer and spending two months on crutches, during which she turned to cookbooks and YouTube tutorials. After enduring six operations, the emotional and physical toll led her to close the shop.

Her passion for cooking, music and fashion remains central to everything Jen does. Jen’s inspiring journey as Charity Shop Girl continues to go from strength to strength. She’s been featured in OK! Magazine and Vogue Business, and partnered with brands including eBay, Max Factor, Propress, Co-op and Garnier.

She’s also an ambassador for The Air Ambulance Service and works regularly with charities across the country to raise awareness of their charity retail shops.

In 2023, Jen presented her very first charity shop fashion segment on the primetime television show, ITV’s This Morning, alongside Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond. She continues to appear on morning television as a second-hand fashion expert and is an expert on the BBC’s new daytime television show, ‘Shift the Thrift’, airing in 2026.
