Invitation to take part in UWE research: Lung disease and end of life

An invitation to take part in research by the University of the West of England (UWE) to gain more understanding about what it is like to help a relative or friend with lung disease during the last year of their life.

What is the study about and why is the team at UWE doing it?

People with lung disease often need help from relatives and friends, especially at the end of life. This help takes many forms and is very important.

The team at UWE aim to understand what it is like to help a relative or friend during the last year of life, and hope more understanding will lead to improved support for family and friends.

Who can take part?

  • Are you 18 or over?
  • Did you help and support a relative or friend who died of lung disease*?
  • Would you be willing to share your experiences, good and bad, of the last year of your relative or friends’ life?

*Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Interstitial Lung Diseases, Bronchiectasis

If you answered all ‘yes’, the UWE research team would love to hear from you and welcome people from all backgrounds to participate.

When does the study close?
