Arranging a funeral collection

Asking for donations to be made at a funeral or memorial service, or arranging a funeral collection online through a tribute page, are meaningful ways to honour a loved one’s memory while supporting Sue Ryder’s expert care.

Arranging a collection online

You may wish to create an online page to share with family and friends. This allows anyone who can’t be with you on the day to make a donation or share a personal message. Starting a page in memory of someone special means you can share thoughts and memories, light candles online, as well as make donations.

Funeral donation envelopes

You can request special In Memory donation envelopes and you may want to place them on seats at the venue or leave them at an appropriate place for guests to collect. You may need to check if this is something you are able to do at the venue.

The envelopes make it easy for friends and family to let us know if their donation is eligible for Gift Aid, increasing the value of each donation.

We’re also able to provide collection boxes if this is something you would like.

Please contact your local Sue Ryder hospice directly and they will be pleased to help:

Alternatively, you can contact our Supporter Care team on 020 7554 5985 or email

Please provide your full contact details, the name of the person you are remembering and the number of envelopes you’d like.

Funeral directors

If you’d like to ask a funeral director to help you collect donations, they are usually happy to help with this. You can provide them with our contact details and we’ll be happy to assist them if they need any help from us.

Please send donations to:

Or alternatively, you can send these directly to your local hospice. Find your local centre.
