Vale of York Half Marathon and 10k 2026

The Vale of York Half Marathon, is the fast, flat, PB-loving half marathon and after the success of the additional distance in 2023, our friends at Racebest have kept the flat-as-a-pancake 10k as part of the event.

Both races start and finish just outside Wistow, and run on scenic closed roads south of York and north of Selby.

For the novice runner, the half is still the perfect introduction to a longer distance. For the more seasoned racer it remains a genuine PB opportunity. And for those training for an autumn marathon it fits perfectly into your training schedule. For everyone the 10k is a perfect opportunity to finish the season with a personal best!

To address the environmental impact of their races, Racebest are asking you to choose whether you wish to buy a finisher's technical t-shirt and to opt in or out of the finisher's medal.

If you opt out of the finisher's medal, they'll donate £2 to the care that Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice provides.

Each year our Sue Ryder volunteers help with registration, water stations, route tidy, and handing out of medals and t-shirts at the end.
