Course description

This course will help you explore common experiences and emotions associated with bereavement and grief, and discover evidence-based models that can deepen understanding of how to promote wellbeing.

You will learn strategies for healthy coping and the use of compassionate language when communicating with a bereaved person. You’ll also be given information on where individuals can access further support.

Grief is a deeply personal experience, and understanding the theories of grief will help you, to support those coping with bereavement.

It’s crucial to recognise the various factors that can influence the grieving process, enabling you to offer sensitive, tailored support to those who are bereaved.
