Clover Stroud, Writer, journalist and broadcaster

“I got to know the Sue Ryder Nurses and Carers very well and was always struck by how compassionate and careful they were in the way they looked after Mum. They really loved her, and she was beautifully looked after, but they were also very kind to me too.

“In my twenties I had two children and used to take my babies into Sue Ryder to see Mum. Despite the sadness of that time, the Sue Ryder Nurses were truly loving and compassionate towards all of us. I am forever grateful for what they did, and when I was asked to be an Ambassador I felt a real sense of honour to represent the incredible work of the charity in some way.”
