Recycle your Christmas tree this January and help support our care

Our team of friendly, reliable volunteers will collect your real Christmas tree direct from your front door, front garden or driveway, and recycle it into wood chippings for our biomass combined heat and power system to generate green energy locally.

Sue Ryder does not make any money from chipping the collected trees. Please make an optional donation when you register for our Christmas Treecycling service, so that no one need die or grieve alone.

hours of expert care funded thanks to donations from our last Treecycling collections across the UK

With an optional donation to Sue Ryder, your Christmas tree could become the gift of expert care, advice and compassion for those living with serious illness, death and grief.

Caring for families across the country

Last year, Sue Ryder provided palliative care and bereavement support to thousands of families across the country, including from our Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice.

Your kind donations allow us to continue providing support for families in the local community.

  • £12.50 could help fund our Online Bereavement Community, offering support and comfort night and day.
  • £30 could fund an hour of expert care, so our Sue Ryder doctors and nurses can manage patients' pain and symptoms.
  • £65 could help a patient be cared for at home, so they can spend their final days surrounded by family and familiar things.
  • £100 could help fund our education and campaigning work, to create a society that supports everyone through dying and grief.
