This year, you can help save even more trees from landfill and raise more funds, so that no one has to face death or grief alone.

Sue Ryder can collect and recycle your real Christmas trees in January 2026. You can sign up by registering here on the website.

This service is subject to the following terms and conditions:

Registration 

1. Online registration for Christmas Treecycling must be received by the closing date as stipulated.
2. All optional donations are payable to Sue Ryder.
3. Donations are non-refundable, non-transferable at the time of registering.
4. Sue Ryder reserves the right to refuse any registration. Sue Ryder’s decision shall be final.
5. After registration participants will receive an email confirmation. Further detailed information about the collection will be emailed to you prior to the collection. This will be sent to the email you submit at the time of entering online.
6. If any of your contact or other details should change after you have registered, you should notify Sue Ryder as soon as possible by email.

Alteration or postponement of the collections 

1. Sue Ryder reserves the right to alter, postpone or cancel the collection where this becomes necessary as a result of circumstances beyond Sue Ryder’s reasonable control (for example Covid-19 resurgence, inclement weather conditions).
2. Where the collection is postponed or cancelled, participants shall be entitled to defer their registration to when the collection next takes place.
3. Sue Ryder retains the right to make a change to the advertised collection times. This is for the safety of all suppliers, staff and volunteers, and to help safely carry out the collections at any given time.

Collection 

1. We can only collect real fir trees.
2. Trees will be collected between Thursday 8th January and Friday 16th January 2026. We will use all reasonable endeavours to collect during this week. We accept no liability for delayed collections or if we are required to cancel due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to adverse weather.
3. Please ensure you remove all decorations from the tree prior to collection.
4. By registering for a collection you confirm that:
   1. The tree to be disposed of is your property and/or you are entitled to give it to us
   2. The tree will be located in a position from which it can safely be collected
   3. Where a tree is not placed where it can safely be collected or if we believe that there is any risk to our collection team, we reserve the right not to collect the tree.
5. We will dispose of all trees collected as we see fit

Financial 

1. We do not make a set charge for collecting your tree. However, we would be most grateful if you could make a voluntary optional donation
2. When you make a donation to Sue Ryder, your money will be spent wherever the need is greatest, giving us the flexibility to provide our services across the UK. If you specifically want your donation to be spent on a particular service, please provide clear instructions in writing with your donation or contact our Supporter Care Team to let them know

Data Protection 

1. Please be aware that by registering you authorise Sue Ryder to process your personal and sensitive personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 for the purposes of this event only. By signing the registration form or completing the online entry, you agree to Sue Ryder using your personal and sensitive personal data for the purposes outlined above. For further details about how we use and protect your information, please view our privacy policy. You can change your contact preferences, request a copy of our privacy policy or ask any questions by contacting supportercare@sueryder.org or 0808 164 4572.
2. In future, we may wish to send or contact you with information about our charitable activities and events. Please tick the appropriate boxes during the online registration process to opt in/out of future communications accordingly. If at any time in the future you decide that you no longer wish to receive mailing/texts, or information, please contact Sue Ryder at supportercare@sueryder.org or 0808 164 4572 to be removed from the relevant mailing list.
