A Sue Ryder Treecycling volunteer, with lots of Christmas trees behind him in the van

Sue Ryder Christmas Treecycling Bedfordshire and Borders

Out of time, transport or energy to dispose of your real Christmas tree this year? Register your real tree to be collected and recycled from Thursday 8th January to Friday 16th January 2026, and make a donation to support our work.

Online registration for our Treecycling collection service has now closed.

Where we'll be collecting

MK40, MK41, MK42, MK43, MK44, MK45, PE19, SG15, SG16, SG17, SG18 and SG19.

Recycle your Christmas tree this January and make a donation to support our work

Sue Ryder does not make any money from chipping the collected trees. Please make an optional donation when you register for our Christmas Treecycling service, so that no one has to face death or grief alone.

Our team of friendly, reliable volunteers will collect your real Christmas tree directly from your front door, front garden or driveway and recycle it into fuel for local biofuel stations or wood chippings in the grounds of a local heritage site.

hours of expert care funded thanks to donations from our last Treecycling collections across the UK

With an optional donation to Sue Ryder, your Christmas tree could become the gift of expert care and support.

Caring for families across the country

Last year, Sue Ryder provided palliative care and bereavement support to thousands of families across the country, including from our Sue Ryder St John's Hospice or in their own homes.

Your kind donations allow us to continue providing support for families in the local community.

  • £12.50 could help fund half an hour of our expert care.
  • £30 could fund an hour of expert care, so Sue Ryder Nurses and doctors can help to manage a patient's pain and symptoms.
  • £65 could help a patient be cared for at home, so they can spend their final days surrounded by family and familiar things.
