Volunteer or work in our shops

Volunteer your time or become an employee at one of our Sue Ryder charity shops.

A man in a blue shirt stands behind a till in a Sue Ryder shop. He's holding clothes with tags on that have been given to him by a customer.

No two days are ever the same in a Sue Ryder shop

As well as sorting, pricing and merchandising the huge variety of donated goods that come in every day, there’s a whole range of other jobs to be done. You could find yourself running a local raffle, encouraging people to donate items or to volunteer with us.

Our shops really engage with the local community. And it is this link that makes our shops so successful in raising income for our vital healthcare work. It’s part of what makes working for Sue Ryder so rewarding.

Volunteer with us

You can search and apply for our latest volunteering roles through our online volunteering portal. You can also pop into your local Sue Ryder shop and book a taster session to try it out first.

You can get in touch via our volunteering quick apply form as well and we’ll get back to you to chat about joining our Sue Ryder team.

Or find out more about what it’s like volunteering in a Sue Ryder shop and how we’ll support you as part of the team.

Work with us

We’re currently expanding our retail chain nationally, so now is a good time to get involved in retail with Sue Ryder. We offer a competitive salary and support career progression. And we have a variety of full and part time roles in our shops, both large and small.

So if you can spot the difference between a designer label and a supermarket own brand, or know your cut glass from your bone china, we’d love for you to join our team.

A smiling shop staff member is stood behind the till and handing a receipt to a customer, who's back you can see.
