We're proud to announce that professional golfer Tyrrell Hatton has become our official supporter for 2016, and will be carrying the Sue Ryder logo on his golf bag.
Tyrrell is ranked in the top 100 golfers in the world. In the first half of 2015 he secured top 10 finishes in the HSBC Abu Dhabi Championship, the Volvo China Open and the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at Royal County Down, along with his fourth Open Championship start in 5 years.
Tyrrell has a personal connection with Sue Ryder after his grandmother passed away at Sue Ryder Nettlebed Hospice in Oxfordshire. Despite it being a difficult time, Tyrrell fondly remembers the kindness of the staff and felt it was a peaceful place for his grandmother to spend her final days.
Holly Spiers, Director of Fundraising at Sue Ryder, said: “We are thrilled to have golfer Tyrrell Hatton on board as a sports celebrity supporter for 2016. He has a close personal connection to Sue Ryder after his grandmother was cared for at one of our hospices.
We hope that with Tyrrell’s support we can raise more money for our incredible hospice and neurological care and continue to help people like his grandmother through life-changing conditions.”
