About Cuerden Hall

Who we help

With 36 beds and countryside views, we provide care and support for people aged 18 and over with complex neurological needs, such as:

  • multiple sclerosis
  • acquired brain injury
  • cerebral palsy
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Huntington's disease
  • motor neurone disease

We're only 15 minutes from Preston and Chorley in Lancashire, situated in 11 acres of parkland within Bamber Bridge.

Our person-centred approach

We aim to provide a safe, secure environment in which our residents can live their lives as fully and independently as possible.

We want to quickly create and develop a relationship based on trust and understanding, so that the support we give is exactly what our residents want - all the while respecting and preserving their privacy, dignity, and independence.

We do this by listening and responding to our resident's preferences and needs. So we start with the person as an individual, with their strengths, characteristics and hopes. We always talk to the person first to find out what they want, as well as their health and social care needs.

Then we create a person-centred plan, making sure that our resident, and anyone important to them, is closely involved in putting it together. We review the person-centred plan regularly, as well as whenever we think needs are changing.
