Location: Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice, Grove Road, Headingley, LS6 2AE
 
Role Purpose:
To provide a clerical service for the In-Patient Unit reception desk at Wheatfields Hospice.
 
 
Role Overview:
Main duties will involve:
 
Greeting visitors to the in-patient unit
Answering telephone calls 
Transferring calls and passing on messages as appropriate
Assist with admin duties as required ie: photocopying, filing, making up files and  processing information 
Booking taxis
 
A full induction and mandatory training will be provided. 
 
We will also require your permission to carry out a DBS (formally CRB) check (at no cost to you)
 
 
 
Commitment:
Regular commitment of ideally one shift per week. Shifts are during the day on Saturdays and Sundays.
 
 
Skills
You will need to have good communication skills and be sensitive towards the patients and relatives’ needs. To have basic administration skills and be able to work as part of a team. An understanding of confidentiality is essential.
 
Experience:
Previous experience in an administration or reception role would be beneficial but is not essential.
