Volunteer Ward Clerk
Main duties will involve:
• Answering telephone calls
• Transferring calls and passing on messages as appropriate
• Booking taxis
• Assist with admin duties as required ie: photocopying, filing, making up files and processing information
• Greeting visitors to the in-patient unit
A full induction and mandatory training will be provided.
Commitment: Ideally one or two days per week between Monday and Friday
You will need to have good communication skills and be sensitive towards the patients and relatives’ needs. To have basic admin skills and be able to work as part of a team. An understanding of confidentiality is essential.
Previous experience in an administration or reception role would be beneficial but is not essential.
