Volunteer Public Speaker

Role Purpose
Use your enthusiasm and confident public speaking skills to support Sue Ryder’s efforts to raise awareness and funds in the local area.
 
Role Overview
With support from your local Fundraising Team you’ll:
- Book and manage a calendar of talks at various community groups (eg Rotaries, WI’s etc)
- Deliver talks with current presentation slides
- Attend cheque presentations or local events on behalf of Sue Ryder and officially thanking     donors for their support
- Pass on group details to your local Fundraiser to follow up.
 
Ideally you will be available to deliver talks outside of office hours.
 
 
 
Commitment: A few hours a week to research, make bookings and thank groups.  A few extra hours during the weeks in which you will be delivering talks.
 
Skills
We’ll need you to be comfortable with public speaking and able to learn about Sue Ryder’s activities.
 
 
Experience
Training and information about Sue Ryder will be provided, but previous experience of delivering talks to the public would be an advantage.
