Cashier

Join Sue Ryder's small friendly team in Cheltenham as a Volunteer Cashier and use your customer service skills and ability to stay calm under pressure to provide a service with a smile. Behind the till, you'll keep focussed and friendly processing payments, packing goods, and spotting opportunities to upsell - making sure customers leave wanting to come back.

We'll need you to:

  • have great customer service skills
  • be friendly and approachable
  • have common sense
  • use your own initiative
  • work as part of a team.

Previous retail experience would be beneficial but is not essential as all training will be provided. We are able to reimburse your reasonable local travel expenses for shifts over 4 hours, and we can provide a reference to prospective employers. We can also offer the opportunity to gain NVQs in retail skills and customer service (eligibility criteria apply).

This is a great opportunity to gain and develop your experience in the competitive retail sector, make new friends, and help Sue Ryder provide incredible care to people living with the challenges of life-limiting conditions.
