Just off the ancient cobbled square
The Sue Ryder shop in Thirsk lies just off the ancient cobbled market square where a market has been held every Monday since the 12th century - and still is today.
Our shop prides itself on its customer service and friendly atmosphere, so come in for a browse and chat whilst looking for that unusual gift.
Bongos and a diamond ring
We have everything from a vast range of bric-a-brac and beautiful homeware to brand new musical instruments including ukeleles and bongos.
Perhaps you will find that stylish, virtually new designer jacket at an irresistible price or, as one of our customers recently found, a fabulous diamond ring! We have great accessories to complement our huge range of ladies wear and are happy to help you find matching handbags, shoes and jewellery to complete your new outfit.
There is also plenty to interest the rest of the family including some of the latest paperback books, CDs and DVDs, plus exciting toys and games for the children - not to mention blankets and the odd collar and lead for your four-legged friend.
Due to the many donations we receive, our stock changes rapidly, so you’ll find there is always something new to tempt you whenever you pop in. Everything here is very competitively priced, so you can be sure to find some great and unique bargains that stand you out from the crowd. And you’ll still go home with change in your pocket!
Good regular bus services run from here and parking is free for one hour. Alternatively, a large coach/car park can be found by the picturesque riverside, just fifty metres from our shop on Millgate, and the railway station is only a pleasant ten minute walk away.
