A feast of visual delight
Described by poet laureate Sir John Betjeman as “a feast of visual delight”, Sidmouth is a beautiful, unspoilt Regency town overlooking the Lyme Bay. Forming part of the Jurassic Coastline and set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), Sidmouth is quintessentially English with traditional architecture, pubs, restaurants and shops.
World music in town
There has been a folk festival in Sidmouth for the first week of August every year since 1955 attracting tens of thousands of visitors, with the town taken over by a riot of sound as Sidmouth succumbs to world music. The town band, now in its 154th year, plays regular concerts at Connaught Gardens from late May through to September.
Our shop is fun and has musical instruments
Situated at the top of Sidmouth High Street, our Sue Ryder shop is bright and airy with enjoyable background music. Staffed by a fun and friendly band of volunteers, we aim to deliver great stock at competitive prices. Specialising in musical instruments from trumpets and saxophones to guitars and ukeleles (available in an array of colours), we hope to inspire the next generation of music lovers.
