Shop Details

On the main road

Our small shop on the main road through town offers a wide range of goods, including bric-a-brac and collectables, alongside a wide variety of clothing and accessories. We have something to suit every customer’s style and budget, and stock children’s clothing and toys for all ages.

We also have a wide range of ornaments for all collectors looking for that unique item to take home and admire. Books, DVDs and CDs all are priced from £1. New goods are also available at this shop with cards at 99p.

Some of our volunteers have worked at the shop for over 10 years and are happy to help you find whatever you’re looking for.

Sue Ryder Ramsey has free parking.

August Bank Holiday: 1940s Weekend

Every year, over the August Bank Holiday weekend, the town is home to 1940s Weekend - one of Britain's biggest living history events. The event was held at RAF Upwood until 2011 and is now held at The Camp, Wood Lane.

It is held in aid of several local charities and is dedicated to recreating the sights and sounds of the 1940s. It features living history re-enactors, period dancing, food, exhibitions and trade stands.
