"The Boutique"

The Sue Ryder Pocklington shop is at the heart of the community, right in the centre of town. Sue Ryder has had a presence in Pocklington since the 1970s and we have been at our current location since 1996. Though we are quite a small shop, we like to call it bijou and often call it “The Boutique”. We are extremely well supported. We have a strong, loyal customer base due to the great atmosphere in the shop. We always have a wide range of good quality stock ranging from fashion and accessories for all the family to bric-a-brac and a great selection of home furnishings to suit all tastes and budgets.

Dropping off donations

There is free parking for up to two hours within the centre of town. We also have a layby right outside of the shop for dropping off donations.

Historic market town

Pocklington is a small historic market town nestled at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds, 15 miles east of York. It attracts cyclists and walkers alike, as well as day trippers visiting Burnby Hall Gardens, which has the largest European collection of hardy water lilies. The town boasts mainly small independent shops and is home to Pocklington Arts Centre, a small venue with a big reputation. Many well-known comedians, actors and musicians have performed at the Arts Centre including, Sarah Millican, Al Murray, Midge Ure and Joan Armatrading.
