A warm welcome

A warm welcome awaits those who have braved the elements of the small coastal town of Dunbar.

Situated on the south east coast of Scotland we are called Sunny Dunny, as it has been named as the sunniest place in Scotland. There is a community feel to the town even although over the last few years it has started to expand.

The surrounding area has a wealth of coastal and inland walks, historical castles and churches as well as spacious beaches and a remarkable 21 golf courses. It is a bird watcher's paradise, a fisherman's dream and a haven for sailors, surfers and scuba divers.

Visit us on the High Street

We are situated in the middle of the High Street with one-hour parking but a short stay car park is near by. We would love to have your donations which our team of volunteers will gladly help bring into the store during opening hours.

Sue Ryder has been in Dunbar for over 20 years so are well established in the community. The local community supports us well with donations coming from young and old alike. We never say no to a donation, and if we cannot sell it at our Dunbar store we will find a store which can.

Just about everything

At Dunbar we sell just about everything: ladies, men's and children's clothing, household linen, bric-a-brac, golf clubs, fishing rods, surf boards, wetsuits, music and books - not to mention the odd pair of snow boots. We are constantly surprised by our donations.

We also sell new goods including musical instruments, doll's houses and the accessories to go with them, and not forgetting our range of home and garden goods.
