Donate clothes

Donate your old clothes to charity and help support Sue Ryder. All profits go straight to supporting our palliative and bereavement support.

If you have old or unwanted clothes, you can save them from landfill and help give them a new home by donating them to charity instead. It’s also a great way to de-clutter and create more space at home.

Not only will you be helping the planet, you’ll be helping us to raise vital funds for our expert, compassionate care and ensure that we can continue to be there when it matters.

You can drop clothing items off at your local shop, whether you have just the one item or you’re clearing out your entire wardrobe.

Clothes donations we can accept

In our charity shops, we accept a broad range of clothing items which are in good condition.

These include:

  • women’s clothes (especially women’s designer brands)
  • men’s clothes
  • children’s clothes
  • retro and vintage clothing
  • men’s, women’s and children’s shoes
  • handbags
  • jewellery and accessories.

The benefits of donating your clothes to Sue Ryder

Your clothes donations play a huge part in the vital funds we raise from sales in our charity shops and support the work we do. Without donations from generous supporters like you, we simply couldn’t continue to ensure that everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can access the support they need.

Coming in store to donate also means you can browse other pre-loved items or brand new items such as cards or calendars.

You can pick up information or bereavement support leaflets, discover our latest campaigns and see what big fundraising events you can get involved in to support our care.
