Want to organise your own event?

Planning your own event is a great way to get involved as well as encourage your community. It can be as unique, personal or physically challenging as you like. Ditch the car for a week and donate the petrol money. Organise a race night and charge an entrance fee. Or get sponsored to cycle across the country.

10 ideas to get you thinking:

  • Organise a karaoke night with all the songs related to riding.
  • Ride the waves and go windsurfing, canoeing or body boarding.
  • Organise a quiz night and have a round dedicated to riding.
  • Ride the monopoly board on the London underground.
  • Organise a race night and sell tickets.
  • Set yourself a cycling challenge and get sponsored by your friends and family.
  • Organise an ‘It's a Knockout' competition with the challenges all involving a different object to ride.
  • Put on a bucking bronco event and charge an entrance fee.
  • Organise a ride for free competition and see who can travel the furthest without spending any money.
  • Get your local pony club to organise a gymkhana competition.
