Albania is one of the poorest countries in Europe, with 40% of the population having no access to basic services such as education, water, sanitation and healthcare.
Sadly end of life care cannot be provide to all of those in need.
Sue Ryder's nursing teams visit patients in their homes, providing pain relieving, end of life care and emotional support to carers and families.
We ensure each person's final moments are comfortable and dignified.
We also provide training in end of life care to around 500 healthcare professionals every year.
£30 can cover the cost of a home visit by a Sue Ryder nurse.
