Harrison and Clough staff make a grand donation to Hospice

22 February 2010

Staff at Keighley firm Harrison and Clough this week presented a cheque for one thousand pounds to Sue Ryder - Manorlands Hospice.

The bumper cheque was primarily made up of the proceeds of the company’s traditional pre Christmas raffle which sees staff donating items to make up hampers and then all working together to sell as many tickets as possible.

Sue Ryder Fundraiser Andrew Wood received the cheque from Janice Grimshaw and asked her to pass on his thanks to all involved.  “The staff at Harrison and Clough do a tremendous amount for us at Manorlands Hospice and when you consider it costs two million pounds each year to cover our services support like this is crucial to our work. This wonderful donation follows the donation of over five thousand pounds that they raised for us in 2009 as part of their successful Sue Ryder - Big Wigs competition entry. “
