A BIG thank you to Coutts for taking part in the Sue Ryder International Cup 2009 and raising such a fantastic amount of money.
Fifteen teams from across the world fundraised to compete in the 2009 Sue Ryder International Cup December 2nd, raising several thousand pounds for the work of Sue Ryder charities overseas. Out of these two teams were from Coutts.
The event was hosted by Martin Peters MBE, who coached on the night, and involved premiership legends Tony Cottee, John Beresford, Rob Lee, Ray Parlour, Peter Bonetti and Paul Walsh. All money raised goes to support the work of our sister organisations in southern Africa and eastern Europe.
The Coutts players who not only wore their shin pads and trainers on the day but also fundraised tirelessly were: Team 1 - James Gosling, Jordan James, Rob Cochrane, Dan Swift, Michael Coppleston, Dean Banks, Kieran Daly, Mark Bashford. Team 2 - James Whitsed, James Wilkinson, James Owens, Dan Green, Olie Thomas, Steve Williams, Zeki Shenol, Marcus Hartley.
Thank you to both teams for all their fundraising efforts and footballing skills.
The event really was fantastic and eveyone had a good time both at the tournament and at the afterparty. If you would like to enter a team in our 2010 Sue Ryder International Cup then call us on 02074920743
