Carmella Miller, from Kings College London, has pledged to raise £3000 to sponsor a village in Malawi by bringing together a group of students to help her in her quest.
By raising the money over 12 months they will make a real difference to the children and adults in their chosen village. The money raised will be spent to ensure this vital work continues to change the lives of people with asthma, epilepsy and physical disabilities, often caused by malaria.
The students from Kings College London kicked off their fundraising on 9 December using their singing talents to perform to a rapturous crowd of spectators in Trafalgar Square. During an hour of traditional Christmas Carol singing, from Jingle Bells to Away in the Manger and dressed in santa hats and rein-deer ears, the group collected £300 towards their Village Sponsorship .
