City Centre Tombola for hospice at Halloween

27 October 2009

Why not come and join in the fun, as a ‘spooky’ tombola and other ghoulish games takes place on Halloween at the Queensgate Centre this year to raise money for Sue Ryder-Thorpe Hall Hospice.

The event will be hosted by a ‘Wicked Witch’ at the Glass Lift in Queensgate and the tombola will see members of the public being able to win prizes which match the ticket numbers.

In addition to this, there will be lots of fun and games, with a ‘Trick or Treat’ lucky dip and a ‘guess the sweets in the cauldron’ competition for everyone to take part in.

The money raised will provide vital funds for the charity, which needs £1million a year for patient care. The event is supported by the Queensgate Centre, who have chosen Sue Ryder as their Charity Of the Year.

Emma Long, Fundraiser at Thorpe Hall, is urging people to get involved. She said: “This is a fun event that everyone should take part in. it is an easy and simple way to raise money for a great cause and we hope that we can get closer to our yearly target of £1million.”
