The January summer sales weren’t a patch on Reading’s Shinfield Road on Friday (January 20) when shoppers queued around the block to get into the new Sue Ryder shop. Bargain hunters were in their element when Rob Wilson, MP for Reading East, cut the red ribbon at 11am, and officially declared the shop open so the budget-friendly retail therapy could begin.

London Luton Airport announces Sue Ryder as New Charity Partner for 2012 and 2013
The public have voted Sue Ryder as the new London Luton Airport Charity Partner for 2012 and 2013.
The Airport has pledged an initial donation of £5,000 to the charity, and employees will work closely with the team at Sue Ryder to involve staff and passengers in fundraising activities throughout the year.
