About the Sue Ryder Mascot Gold Cup 2026

The Mascot Gold Cup event set the Guinness World Record for the Most Mascots in a Race in 2015 and continues to be a fun-filled day out for all the family while helping Sue Ryder to provide expert care.

The 2026 event is set to be bigger and better than ever!

Mascots first take part in the Mascot Parade in the official parade ring where punters can place their bets on their favourites. Several prizes are up for grabs during the Mascot Parade, including the coveted ‘Best Mascot on Parade’.

The race route

The race route on the day will be one furlong with six fences to jump over.

How do I enter?

There are four ticket types for 2026:

  • Standard Entry (bring your own mascot) - £40 for those who may want to raise sponsorship money for their own chosen charity rather than Sue Ryder or for those who cannot commit to pledging a minimum £100 sponsorship money for Sue Ryder.
  • Entry (including mascot hire) - £50 for those who may want to raise sponsorship money for their own chosen charity rather than Sue Ryder or for those who cannot commit to pledging a minimum £100 sponsorship money for Sue Ryder and would also like to hire a mascot. A catalogue can be emailed to you, once your entry is confirmed.
  • Entry with fundraising pledge (£100 minimum for Sue Ryder) plus mascot hire - £2 for anyone committing to pledge a minimum of £100 sponsorship money for Sue Ryder and who would like to borrow one of our available mascots. We have approximately 50 mascots available on a first come first served basis. A catalogue will be emailed to you to select from, once your entry is confirmed.
  • Entry with fundraising pledge (£100 minimum for Sue Ryder) - £1 for anyone committing to pledge a minimum of £100 sponsorship money for Sue Ryder and who have their own mascot.

Mascot benefits

Mascots will be sent two complimentary race day passes (one for themselves and another for a helper) and can purchase unlimited extra half-price tickets (if ordered in advance) for supporters, colleagues and friends – making the event an ideal corporate, community group or family day out.

Under-18s get in free if accompanied by an adult.

The sooner you sign up, the more time your organisation will be promoted, so why not sign up now?

Interested, but no mascot? Get in touch!

We have a ‘stable’ of mascots that can be ‘adopted‘ for the day on a first-come-first-served basis.

Keen to fundraise for another charity?

We know that many good causes have mascots so we are allowing them to compete in the Mascot Gold Cup and keep all the sponsorship money they raise, provided they pay the £40 entry fee to Sue Ryder.
