Leader of the Year – Winner

Annabel Brooks

Annabel first arrived at Sue Ryder just over a year ago on a work placement. From day one, she was highly enthusiastic and took on challenges with great passion. Annabel was assigned the men’s department at Killingworth, and she increased sales and average transaction values within the year.

She is now a lead volunteer who runs the store in the manager’s absence, has two departments to run, and supports with training and recruitment of new volunteers. She has also taken part in two recruitment days for other stores and supported in the set-up of a new store.

Annabel lives and breathes Sue Ryder and passionately promotes events, sales etc. She is a true asset to the Killingworth shop and is known by many colleagues for her enthusiasm for and knowledge of the charity. She always strives to find out what is happening, which has a positive effect on the whole team; her passion drives others.
