Sue Ryder Volunteer Awards 2015

Our incredible volunteers

Sue Ryder held its Incredible Colleague Awards at the Royal Pump Rooms in Leamington Spa on Tuesday 27th October 2015.

Combined with the charity's staff awards, the event celebrated the amazing commitment and impact of individuals and teams across the organisation.

Speeches from Sue Ryder's CEO Heidi Travis, and Sam Cheverton, former Assistant Director of Palliative Services, re-emphasised the recent growth of the charity's health and social care services, and provided a clear reminder that this would not be possible without the support of the 11,000 volunteers who give their time and skills to support Sue Ryder throughout the UK.

The judges had a very difficult job to pick out winners from the 240 nominations received - congratulations go to every nominee. Heidi Travis, CEO, presented awards to a winner and a highly commended individual or team in each of the five volunteering categories.
