Applying for a role
You can apply for a role online, in your local store or centre, or by contacting our volunteering team by email or phone.
When you apply you'll be asked to complete an application form and an equal opportunities monitoring form (optional) which you can download here:
You can print them off and complete in advance, or ask the team where you wish to volunteer for hard copies. Please hand in or post completed forms to the manager at the location where you would like to volunteer.
You'll be invited to an informal interview. This helps us make sure that your time and skills are used to benefit both of us.
We'll take up two references, and due to the nature of our work, a criminal records check may be needed (at no cost to you) for some volunteer positions.
If offered a role your manager will then agree a date with you to start or for a trial session.
For some roles you'll need to attend mandatory training before you can start. This is for your own safety, that of our staff and patients, and to enable you to carry out your role with confidence.
