Community Healthcare Services
Our community healthcare services enable people to receive the same incredible hospice care we provide in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by their loved ones.
Hospice at Home
Research shows that the majority of people would prefer to die at home if given the choice. Our Morrisons-funded Hospice at Home services allow people to receive specialist palliative care in their own homes 24 hours a day, and in turn, reduce the strain and anxiety experienced by patients, carers and their families. Community Nurse Specialists
Community Nurse Specialists form an integral part of our community services, and can be critical for someone living with a life-limiting condition. Our Morrisons-funded nurses share expert advice, support loved ones and if needed, provide a referral to our day or inpatient services. Find out more
Our ‘Hard to Reach’ project
This new service in Bedfordshire is helping us connect with more people who live in what have traditionally been hard to reach communities. It aims to raise awareness of palliative and end of life care services within black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities to make sure nobody feels they have to cope alone. Find out more.
Our teams of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists are a vital part of the personalised care we provide, and support people being cared for at home and those returning home from hospital so they can live their lives as fully as possible. Complementary therapists offer therapies such as massage, aromatherapy and reiki to help reduce stress and improve feelings of wellbeing.
