Take part in Manorlands' first ever Hot Cross Bun challenge event!
This exciting new Duathlon takes place on Easter Sunday in aid of Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice and is partnered by Bradford Council and organised in conjunction with British Triathlon Association.
About the event
The format of the event is a 5K run starting at 9am. This is followed by a 20K cycle ride and then a 5K run to finish.
The run route takes you from the start line in Victoria Park through the underpass and along the Airedale Greenway to the newly refurbished Cliffe Castle Park. After completing a loop of this you'll head back along the Airedale Greenway to Victoria Park and the transition zone in the MUGA - where only participants and officials will be allowed to enter, ensuring the security of the bikes.
Exiting the MUGA, participants then take on a 20km ride up to Bronte Country including a climb of the iconic Haworth Main Street and Penistone Hill. The route then goes to Oxenhope where you pass the entrance to Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice which benefits from this event. Then it’s back to Victoria Park and the transition zone before a repeat of the 5km run!
At the finish all participants will receive a medal and, as it's Easter Sunday, a hot cross bun.
