Thank you everyone who took part in the 12th Mascot Gold Cup, sponsored by Rotherwood Recruitment.

Race winners

Congratulations to the winner Mr Potato Head who, despite nearly mashing himself with a headfirst dive on the line, took the Mascot Gold Cup.

Goofy was second, Beefy was third and Wally the Whale representing Wetherby Whaler was 4th for the second year running.

The First Pro Mascot Home was Whiskers of Holbeach United and the award for Last Home Without Stopping was RotherRoo of Rotherwood Recruitment.

Fundraising champions

For the sixth year in succession, the award for Most Raised for Sue Ryder went to Keelham Farm Shop who's fundraising for the event reached a staggering £9,000 for our incredible care.

Honorable mention should also go to Lesley Tole and Jenny Kitson who raised over £1,100 between them as Bride Bear and Groom Bear.

Most Employable Mascot Competition winners

The new Rotherwood Recruitment Most Employable Mascot competition was also a big success, a great warm-up and something the crowds found hilarious.

Best Mascot in Parade was Mrs Pork Cracking from the Manorlands Hospice In Patient Unit nursing team with Bride Bear runner-up from the Riddlesden Support Group.

Best Mascot on the theme of My Dream Job was Poppy the Panther from Peterborough Panthers Speedway team.
