Challenge Bike Ride

Cheltenham Challenge RideDate: 15 July 2012
Location: Cheltenham
Distance: 45 miles
Registration fee: £12 advance fee & £15 on the day

Challenge yourself and support Sue Ryder - Leckhampton Court Hospice.

Take on a 45 mile cycling challenge and raise vital funds for people in Gloucestershire with life threatening and life limiting conditions.

The route starts and finishes at Cheltenham Racecourse and takes in some of our most breathtaking Gloucestershire countryside.  Although challenging, this event is intended to be a fun bike ride - refreshments will be provided on route and at the finish medals are presented to all those successfully completing the ride.  The event is kindly supported by Cheltenham Cycling Touring Club (CTC).

Sue Ryder - Leckhampton Court is the only hospice in Gloucestershire offering in-patient services and provides 16 beds.  We also provide a day hospice programme for patients, an extensive Hospice at Home service and a family support service and bereavement programme.  Our specialist care takes a personalised approach and also considers the needs of the families, friends and carers of people receiving our services.  Our services are always in high demand.

Our care is provided free of charge and we rely on people taking part in events such as our Ride for Ryder Challenge to help raise much needed funds.  To continue our services we need to raise £1.7m each year.

We ask that each cyclist aims to raise £75 in sponsorship money.  £50 could pay for a programme of bereavement sessions to help people cope with loss and £120 equates to the cost of a nurse for the day (an 8-hour daytime shift).

Register now by completing the online form below and paying your advance registration fee of £12.
