Ribble Way Challenge

After the huge success of the 2011 event the Sue Ryder Ribble Way Challenge is back for its fourth year in June 2012 with a new 50k route option in addition to the full 100k challenge.

Could you walk across two counties, navigating through multi terrain all against the clock?

Join us for an exhilarating walk through stunning countryside and experience an event with a difference. Step up to the challenge of walking 50K in under 15 hours or 100k in less than 30 hours.

Event Facts:

  • Extreme physical and mental challenge

  • Two challenge options – 50k in 15 hours or 100k in less than 30 hours

  • Specialist support provided by Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team to ensure walkers are fully briefed and supported from start to finish

  • Amazing scenery in the daylight with the additional  challenge of navigating in the darkness for those brave enough to take on the 100k challenge

  • Teams (minimum of two) will require their own support team who will be vital success and comfort along the way.

Don't have anyone to walk with?
Join the 'Brave in Boots' team who are individual walkers taking part in the event together. Click here to register your place now.
This team will be made up of many people from different locations who are keen walkers and some who have never taken on a challenge like this before. 
There will be a meeting to introduce all individuals to each other and a training walk to get to know each other before the event day.
