Please help families create precious memories this Christmas

"I wanted to have Christmas while I'm able to enjoy it"

We provide incredible care to thousands of patients and their families all year around, helping them to make the most of the time they have left together.

At Christmas, we redouble our efforts to make it as special as it can possibly be for each person, creating happy memories that their families will cherish.

Because sadly, for many of our patients, our hospice will be the last place they spend Christmas.

Where possible, we support a patient to be at home one last time. And if someone is worried they won’t be well enough, we’ll bring Christmas Day forward, just for them.

Last year Tony and his family enjoyed an early Christmas with us as his condition was deteriorating.

Aged just 48, he had been diagnosed with renal cancer in the summer and given just six months to live.

Despite the circumstances, Tony was determined to enjoy this Christmas with his family and friends, so we gave them a proper Christmas Day that they would remember long after he had gone.

A large group of Tony’s family and friends joined him in our Day Hospice, decorated with his tree and decorations from home, for a full Christmas dinner, evening buffet and presents. A photo collage of the happy day was made to help Tony and his loved ones remember the event.

Will you give a special Christmas gift to help families like Tony’s spend precious time together and create memories they will remember forever?
