Sue Ryder - St John's Hospice is situated in the Bedfordshire countryside and has 15 inpatient beds.

The hospice offers specialist short-term palliative care for patients with life-limiting illnesses including Cancer, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, heart, liver and lung failure.

An active day treatment centre offers a variety of treatments including blood transfusions, complex drug treatments and outpatient specialist palliative care consultant appointments. A specialist Lymphoedema Service provides complex Lymphoedema treatment to both inpatient and outpatients as well as home visits.

The hospice staff are supported by volunteers providing additional bereavement and chaplaincy services. The bereavement service co-ordinator and volunteer offer a mix of telephone, face to face meetings and group support.
