Dementia day service

The aim of the Stables, our dementia day service, is to make sure individuals stay independent in their own home for as long as possible, by giving short periods of respite for family carers.

As part of our person-centred planning, we offer an extensive range of social activities from music therapy, gentle exercise, gardening, walks in the park through to reminiscence therapy.

Every effort is made to make sure that each attendee feels safe and comfortable during their day with us, allowing family carers to enjoy a period of respite where they can catch up with tasks, or enjoy some time off from their caring role.

We work closely with external agencies and regularly review planned outcomes from this service with family and other professionals where appropriate.

Our service is for everyone in the community aged 18 or over. We're open four days a week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (excluding bank holidays) from 9:30am - 3pm.
